1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using German Exam Practice ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

The Service provides educational content and practice materials for learners preparing for Goethe-format German A1, A2, and B1 exams. The Service includes practice tests, audio recordings, vocabulary tools, writing and speaking practice, timed mock exams, and progress tracking.

German Exam Practice is an independent preparation platform. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official service of the Goethe-Institut.

2.1 Synthetic Audio and AI-Assisted Content

Audio recordings and other learning materials available through the Service may be created or assisted using artificial intelligence, text-to-speech, or synthetic voice technologies. These materials are provided for educational practice and do not represent recordings of official exam sessions or statements by real people.

We review learning materials before publication, but synthetic or AI-assisted content may still contain errors, pronunciation differences, or other inaccuracies. You should report suspected errors to support@germanexampractice.com.

3. Intellectual Property Rights

3.1 Ownership

Except for third-party trademarks and material identified otherwise, content provided through the Service includes:

• Exam-style questions, answer options, and explanations
• Audio recordings and transcripts
• Vocabulary and language explanations
• Writing prompts and model responses
• Speaking exercises and scenarios
• User interface design and graphics
• Software code and algorithms

This content is owned by or licensed to German Exam Practice and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

3.2 Prohibited Uses

You are expressly prohibited from:

• Copying or reproducing Service content manually or through automated means
• Downloading or extracting audio, text, images, or other protected materials except where the Service expressly permits it
• Screen recording or capturing content for sharing or redistribution
• Sharing or distributing content to third parties
• Creating derivative works based on protected content
• Using scraping tools, bots, or automated systems to access or download content
• Circumventing technical protection measures
• Selling or commercially exploiting Service content

3.3 Limited License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial educational purposes only. This license does not give you the right to:

• Modify or copy protected materials
• Use the materials for a commercial purpose
• Transfer the materials or your access to another person
• Attempt to decompile or reverse engineer Service software

4. User Accounts

4.1 Account Registration

To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity performed through your account.

4.2 Account Sharing

5.1 Pricing

We offer weekly, monthly, and yearly subscription options. The price, billing period, and included access are shown before purchase. Prices may change with notice, but a price change does not alter a billing period you have already paid for.

5.2 Cancellation

Recurring subscriptions may be cancelled at any time through the billing management page. Unless applicable law or the checkout terms require otherwise, access continues until the end of the current paid billing period.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for an unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with the proper operation of the Service
• Upload viruses or malicious code
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for a material violation of these Terms, including copying or distributing protected content, account sharing, unauthorized automated access, or fraudulent activity.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted. While we work to provide accurate preparation materials, we do not guarantee exam success or any particular result.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, German Exam Practice will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, without regard to conflict of law principles. Mandatory consumer protections that apply to you remain unaffected.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will indicate changes by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify users of significant changes by email or through the Service.
